The 16th Amendment
Enacted February 3, 1913
"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
Prior to the ratification of the 16th Amendment government revenue was primarily derived from tariffs. Since the enactment of the 16th Amendment, the government's primary source of income has come from the income tax which now generates 51% of government revenues. Direct taxes on individuals in the form of the income tax and payroll taxes now account for $2.26T or 69% of federal revenue.
Unlike all of the other amendments to the Constitution which protect your God given rights, the 16th Amendment deprives you of the fruits of your labor, your liberty and your pursuit of happiness.

Real Tax Reform
We are a grass roots organization dedicated to real tax reform. Our plan abolishes the current tax code, all of it, and replaces it with a simple flat tax on business revenues. This means that you will take home all of the money which is currently withheld from your paycheck for Federal income and payroll taxes. The average worker will have over $14,000 more a year to spend, to pay bills or to save and invest. It is your money to do with as you wish. In addition this plan will eliminate capital gains taxes, inheritance taxes, all federal excise taxes, all current business taxes.

The US Government confiscates, under the threat of force, over $2.52T per year from individual taxpayers. This is money earned by hard working Americans but is not available to the person who earned it. This extra money will now be used to take care of the worker's families and communities. We believe this money belongs to the person who earned it.

Abolish the Tax Code
Incomprehensible
The current Federal tax code is over 2600 pages and all of the regulations, explanations and related case law adds over 65,000 pages. It needs to be thrown out and replaced with a simple, small flat tax on businesses and imports.
